Hello everyone.

The Design Constraints Working group would like to announce the availability of
a rough draft of the Design Constraints Description Language (DCDL)
specification. It is available at:

http://www.eda.org/dcwg/doc/dcdl_spec/dcdl_spec_0.1.1.pdf

Home page:

http://www.eda.org/dcwg/

We have filled out this document with material from previous documents,
experiences, demonstrations, and meetings. It is currently in rough draft form
and we have just begun to review each section of the document. So now would be
a great time to contribute to the definition of this document. To that end, we
are reviewing the following material in our next conference call (11/9/99):

Introduction: pages 19-21.
Basic Language Features: pages 25-32.

We plan to move through the document toward completion of the syntax, leaving
most of the semantic definition for the next pass. This will allow us to begin
parser work. Therefore, you should expect to see a new version of the
specification every 2 weeks.

We hope that this document will work as a catalyst to further accelerate the
design of DCDL. Thanks for everyone's support so far.
