Next Meeting:
The next meeting will be a teleconference on 1/4/00
  from 9-11 am (PDT)
Details:
  1. Review action items
Tom updated the document. Vikas looked at the derived clocks commands
but had some questions on how to properly convert the example into
     DCDL.
  2. Review Design References through Persistent Defaults,
     sections 3.3.5-3.3.7
We talked about the types of design references and agreed to
separate them into design object references and constraint
object references, where a waveform is the only current constraint
object. We briefly discussed physical object types versus logical
object types, but left the design object types focused on logical
     types for now.
We talked in detail about wildcards and buses, and agreed that:
       - a wildcard in the base name of a bus expands to just the
base name, not the bit range
       - the base name of a bus implies all of the bits of the bus
       - wildcards are not allowed within the bit range, due to concerns
about ambiguities around ascending versus descending indices
We talked a lot about value slots, default values, placeholders,
and precedence rules, and we agreed to add a couple of sections and
rearrange existing sections to introduce the material in a logical
     progression.
  3. Discuss derived clocks
Not covered; this will be addressed off-line between Mark and
     Vikas.
  4. Discuss schedule and technical editing requirements
Joe Daniels and Tom have talked about the technical
editing requirements, so we're in good shape there. We
haven't closed on the schedule yet.
Thanks,
Mark
