All,

Here's is a summary of todays DCWG call.

The group decided to change the semantics and syntax of the following
commands
This note is meant to brief everybody with todays changes, Tom Dewey will
try to
get us the updated spec by the end of this week.

1. driver_specification is now driver_cell

NEW ---> driver_cell

  -cell cell_identifier -to port_identifier -from pin_identifier [rise
slew fall slew]
  -multiplier multiplier -parallel - {early / late } -{rise / fall }

     a. The slew value will be specified in the slew_time command
     b. The driver strength will be specified in the driver_resistance
        command (i'll need to double check this)

2. clock_delay

NEW --> clock_delay -{ waveform / root / leaf } - { rise / fall } -
{early / late } delay_value

   a. The clock_delay with the leaf option specifies the network latency
   b. The clock_arrival_time will be used to model the off chip latency
   c. Ideal and actual will be specified in the clock_mode command

3. clock_mode

NEW ---> clock_mode -root {port / pin identifier} -ideal/actual

4. external_load

NEW ---> port_capacitance -{early/late/typ} - { pin_load / wire_load /
lumped_load }

  a. The external load command specifies the loads outside the block and is
not meant to
      model back annotated net cap values

If I missed anything or if there are any errors, we'll see detailed
changes in Tom's update

Regards
Vikas
