OVI/VI Synthesis Constraints Working Group

The Synthesis Constraints Working Group (SC-WG) was a joint effort between Open Verilog International (OVI) and VHDL International (VI) . It has been superseded by the Design Constraints Working Group.

SC-WG was focused on the definition of a standard language for user entry of constraints, GCL. SC-WG also planned to standardize an interchange format for exchange of constraints between tools, GCF. An overview of GCL and the relationship between GCL, GCF, and tool extension languages is available here .

Ambit donated their user constraint syntax to the working group. See their web page for more details.
