Dear P1850 working group members:
The results from the initial ballot of the IEEE P1850 which closed on October 26, 2009, were as follows:
Members: 05
Returns: 05
Approve with comments: 01
Approved without comments: 04
Disapprove with comments: 00
Disapprove without comments: 00
Abstain: 00
However, during the RevCom review, it was noticed that on page 1 (sections 1.2, Purpose) of the D5 draft had slightly different words than what were existed in our PAR, and the words need to match exactly. Therefore, we are currently conducting a recirculation ballot for a revised draft D6.
The D6 draft can be found at:
http://www.eda.org/ieee-1850/docs/P1850-D6-2010.pdf (Same password as all our previous drafts)
The only difference between D6 and D5 is on page 1, section 1.2 Purpose (highlighted in yellow). Also, please note that there were a few minor (non-technical) comments on the previous ballot for the D5 draft that will be addressed by the editors in the final publication, and were not addressed in the D6 draft.
Anyone in the balloting group desiring to change his or her ballot based on these changes; please respond by the date given in the e-mail-notification ballot. However, you are not obligated to reply; if you do not, your previous vote will stand.
Sincerely,
Harry Foster
Working Group Chair IEEE P1850
