How to add an Issue Report to the database

ISAC members:  Follow the instructions below.
Non-ISAC members:  Submit issue reports to the ISAC.

The directory vhdl.org:/vi/isac/IRs1k is used to store ALL active ISAC Issue
Reports (IRs).

You will add an IR to this DB for one of the following reasons.

	1. You are migrating an old IR
	2. You want to add a new IR, and allocate a new number.

Here is how you do it.


1. If you need to allocate a new IR number then run the script
   vhdl.org:/vi/isac/IRs1k/newIRnum. A sample of the script run is:

	% newIRnum
	Short Decription: 	<you type here> 
	Your IR number is 1078
	% 

2. Create the IR using the IR template vhdl.org:/vi/isac/IRs1k/IRTemplate.txt
   and following the instructions in vhdl.org:/vi/isac/IRs1k/
   IRInstructions.txt.  You can do this on your home machine.

3. Add your IR using the RCS tools. 
	
	% ci -u IR1079
