As I'm sure you all know, we are scheduled for an ISAC meeting next Thursday: Next Meeting Thursday May 25, 2006, 7 pm Pacific Daylight Time (Friday May 26, 2006, 2 am GMT) We have seven open issues: 2038 Analyzed Ajay Minor semantic errors 2082 Analyzed Chuck Elaboration of unconstrained interface objects 2085 Analyzed Chuck What happens when a parameter of mode out is not assigned in a procedure? 2092 Analyzed Chuck Type conversions don't allow for null arrays 2093 Analyzed Chuck Static type conversions and qualified expressions 2094 Analyzed Peter Attribute specifications of overloaded subprograms is limited 2095 Analyzed Lance What is the entity class of an enumeration literal? I believe that Ajay is revising IR 2038. All other IRs are ready for review. I spoke with Peter about LRM status, and the bottom line is that we have very little time before the Accellera LRM is frozen, so basically what we approve at Thursday's meeting (except for very small changes with immediate revisions) is what will go the the Accellera board. So do your very best to read the analyses ahead of time, raise issues before the meeting if possible, and we'll try to get through all of these at Thursday's meeting. We are not going to bypass the ISAC/VASG approval mechanism, but we might very well anticipate approval and prepare the LRM under the assumption that these issues will be approved. We could back out changes if necessary. Also, the ISAC will continue responding to issues as they are submitted. Its just that right now an important window is about to close.
