Hi,

I have created a strawman for the email to enlist new members at our
next face to face meeting in November. I'd like to enlist a couple
volunteers at today's meeting to help refine this strawman, and then
send out a final draft for email review by the committee before the
general Accellera mailing.

The Accellera Interfaces Technical Committee (ITC) seeks your help
extending high-performance verification capabilities to end-users
concerned with creating high-performance verification environments.

The Accellera Interfaces Technical Committee is a collection of EDA
vendors and customers committed to enabling high-performance
verification. The mission of the group is to identify and standardize
interfaces between HDL environments and verification environments that
enable complete, high performance verification systems to be
constructed. This team has recognized that hardware acceleration is an
essential component in high-performance verification, and that interface
& modeling standards are required to increase the usability of hardware
based verification solutions. In May of 2003, Accellera ratified our
high-performance modeling API, which gives the Verification Design
engineer a way to create verification IP and test-benches in a manner
that ports from simulation engines to hardware based platforms/engines.
Today multiple EDA vendors have implemented the SCE_API as part of their
product offering. Several others are considering adding SCE-API
support to their offerings. Today's ITC members include: (list all
members).

The ITC committee is currently engaged in promoting the message of how
the SCE-API is being used today to create high-performance verification
environments, and soliciting both vendor and end-user feedback in order
to continue to enhance the current standard especially in terms of ease
of use for both the verification IP creator, and the HDL simulation
user. We are seeking new members to help us in this mission. We invite
you to come join us for our next face to face meeting before the
November ICCAD event in San Jose.
