DPI and/or > SystemVerilog does not have its own mechanism that we need to support? johnS: SystemVerilog does not have an explicit mechanism. They leave error handling up to the vendor's internal mechanism. Native DPI implementations can make use of this. If a vendor supports SCE-MI on the C side, the user will have the option to register an error handler via this mechanism. But their DPI model code should not have to change either way. > > So what do you think of the proposal to use SCE-MI 1 error and/or > info handlers to tweak the default behavior of 4-state logic values? > Say the standard mandates sending X and Z is an error, either fatal > or non-fatal.
