Hi John,
    Sorry about that. I clearly did not test the number continuation
properly. Here is an updated template and I have corrected the spell checker
settings as well. I hope you have more success with this one.

This is driving crazy. Somehow using your template, I'm
not able to get subheading numbering to track major heading
numbering.

Try this in your template.

You see this for headings:

Now, you would expect that if you insert a new major
heading before 1, all existing 1st numbers would bump to 2 like
this right ?
