Shabtay’s take 04/28 - High level clarification exchange. Issue resolved and no action needed.

Committee comment: Possibly with some issues in time. It is the unit of data in one call. Will we support time consuming calls on the HW side? Exported tasks deserve a new IM. Proposed by Per IM 232

Ironing out the details of the transaction pipes with respect to batching/streaming, VLMs, and zero- versus non-zero-time delivery of messages.

** See consolidated proposal from JohnS in IM208 dealing with IM's 208-211

This is a modeling subset issue.

Shabtay> I don't understand this summary. Can one explain how it responds to the issue?

Per> Many of the issues in IM211 were covered in the discussion on IM209. Brian's summary dealt with the portion of IM211 not covered, which was the issue of zero versus non-zero time delivery of chunks of the messages sent over the pipes.  This turns out to be a modeling subset issue more than a transport layer issue.

JohnS> I'm wondering if we still need this one. This has more to do with whether the modeling subset allows multiple pipe accesses in 0-time or not and does not really impact the operation of pipes themselves.

I motion that we remove this one.
