Shalom seconds. No opposed. No abstain. Motion passes. + Top-25 Issues to Address Added a new worksheet to the Top 25 Google Spreadsheet titled 'Votes for April 26' Based on activity leading up to and during meeting, create worksheet titled 'Votes April 26 p3' with items sorted by score that considers voting priority and number of votes. Brad asked for more information about variable part-selects. Gord expressed concern about dealing with variable width expressions in the face of the rules already in the language for expression sizing. Shalom explained motivation and asked for consideration under reasonable considerations/limitations. Gord considers clarification of 2310 are most important. Brad agrees. If anyone wants macro enhancements, please vote on their specific Mantis/issue item. What appears to be missing? 1. Virtual interface clarifications - Part EC, part BC issue (3047, 3048, 1706, 2845, 2351, 1504); impact large design composition and reuse. Should this be pushed to EC? There are BC considerations. These interact with packages and configurations. Brad would like to vote for 1 master item on this topic. AI: Brad to create master item called: "Clarifications for virtual interfaces and interface ports" Gord has a paper on this with Jonathan Bromley. AI: Gord or anyone else provide URL or copy of interface paper if publicly available. 2. Shalom says 2532 is 30 minutes of work and too minor to be included on the list. 3. Design topology resolution (hierarchical references, parameters) For example: 1508, 1553, 2351 AI: Gord will create a master item for design topology issues. 4. Enum issues Should these topics be grouped? Many see extension as a separate topic than value name scoping. 5. Foreach issues- some related to connectivity and may fall under general topology issues. 6. 1144/2680 are essentially duplicates and should be consolidated. 7. What about port issues? 905, 2273, 2593, na/10 Should they be grouped? 2273 and 2593 could be grouped as they are clarifications AI: Matt to create master port item for 2273 & 2593 n/a 10 is an enhancement. Should be extended to tasks & functions. 8. Should SystemVerilog merge with Verilog-AMS? What about sub-features? Perhaps this should be addressed by another sub-committee? Upcoming BC Schedule April 27: Spreadsheet locked down by 11:59pm. All: Add new items to spreadsheet and note reference to master April 29: Voting worksheet released and voting window begins May 7: Voting closes at 11:59pm PDT May 8: Results posted by 11:59pm PDT May 10: Final SV-BC meeting to reconcile vote and secure Top 25 May 13: SV-BC Top 25 communicated to 1800 WG 10:54AM PDT: Brad moves to adjourn Feb 25 Feedback http://www.eda.org/sv-ieee1800/Meetings/2010/February/Presentations/26-February-2010-Req-Gather-Mtg-Notes.pdf Recent Input http://www.eda.org/sv-bc/hm/10144.html casex (casez is good enough) procedural assign and deassign (force/release work fine) defparam (can be used to override parameters not in a module header) + Future Agenda Items - Issue Resolution The committees are authorized to resolve issues.
