Subject: Some thoughts going forward ...

Happy New Year to you all.
Hope you had great holidays. We, as a team, have achieved
a lot towards our goal in the previous year that we should all
be proud of. At the same time, we still have a lot to do in
this year.
Going forward in the new year, here are some things that we need
to look into. This is, of course, my take on it. Feel free to
add to the list or make any necessary correction.
o Issues related to DirectC:
I believe we still need to close the following issues:
- 1.4
- 1.7, 1.11, 1.13
- 1.12
Andrzej's proposal covers 1.7, 1.11 and 1.13 and is still under
discussion. Rest may have been resolved/answered as part of some
other issues, but we need to draw a formal closure on them.
o LRM documentation on DirectC:
There were some good discussions in the last meeting about starting
the ground work on DirectC part of the LRM. So far,
- Joe has made a first cut of this (mostly for the formatting).
- Joao is working on developing an initial version of the LRM
that incorporates the new changes that has been accepted by
the committee.
We will all get a chance to review the doc once Joao is
done.
o Assertion API related work:
We had Joao's presentation of the assertion document (rev 2) and
some feedbacks from the team before the holidays. I have asked
Faisal's team to review the doc and provide us feedback. We still need
to wait for "assertion step" from SV-AC (action item for
Bassam/Joao).
To be ready with the assertion API part as much as we can (while
waiting from the SV-AC inputs), I propose we fix a date to
collect all the inputs on the current rev of the doc from the
team. Does 01/14/03 work for all ? This gives us 01/07, 01/08 and 01/14
for any required discussion. Joao will incorporate the accepted
suggestions into the final rev. The only addition we will make
to the doc after 01/14 will be what required by the "assertion step".
o Coverage API related work:
I intend to send a separate email on this.
o Meeting twice a week:
Given the amount of work left for us, we will continue to have
our meetings two times per week (just as what we did before the
holidays).
Please send in your comment.
