Meeting bi-weekly on Monday, alternate with sv-ec. Erik, co-chair to suggest a face to face meeting in Bay-Area. Working group stripped a few, mantis item 1900, few are listed at the beginning that 1900 was dependent on, at the meeting list was appended. Other committees are more or less suspende, no more work, except the work that has been authorized. Revieweing editor updates, champions feedback sv-ac can review items coming from other committees. There will be a draft 5, 6 and 7 Draft 5 - 3rd week april (april 25) - all approved bc, ec, editorial Draft 6 - soon after May 1st - 5E ac,cc added in Draft 7 - ~august - pre-ballot draft sept 10th AI: SV-EC all,to review the draft 5 changes. Roughly 100 mantis items in the draft. b) Request from champions on Mantis 1806 Mantis 1806 introduces the keyword 'restrict'. The Champions have requested both the svbc and svec to provide feedback on the introduction of this new keyword. mantis 1806: Neil: Steven Sharp has done a search for the keyword and has not found it to be used. Dave: Can we use constraint instead of restrict? - prefers not to use up another keyword. - can only put a constraint inside a class Steven - constraint is a noun Dave - means to ignore it if you are not a formal tool - suppose to be ignored by simulation Neil - March 20 - it was approved contingently on both bc and ec agreeing Steven - maybe it should be done with an attirbute Cliff - attributes need to be cleaned up, but that is what attribute was for - is assume used much? Neil - using an attribute appears to be a good way to do this. Steven - it might not work. Gord - using attribute may change ...? Steven - a comment pragma is the other approach. Cliff - should a pragma be recommended? Steven - not sure if we should Gord - this topic of fv was brought up in the first svsc Gord - he is fine with the new keyword Mehdi - could we end up with the need for endrestrict? Gord - a restrict like that is almost like a generate block - depends on the tool domain Steven - there might be a predefined value to specify if a sim or fv tool Gord - we may end up down that path at some point. Mehdi - svec is ok with the keyword restrict. AI: Mehdi: send email to champions and copy sv-ac: on Mantis 1806, sv-ec has no objection to adding this. 4.
