description syntax

Was just reading through the VHDL-AMS tutorial from DAC'99,
and I found that it supports comments using a double-dash
syntax:
    Vp : real := 1.0; -- High level of triangular waveform

The main Verilog-AMS committee felt our proposed triple-dash
wouldn't fly with the digital Verilog folks; I wonder how
much of a struggle there was on the VHDL side.
