RE: Support of framemaker

We tried to send MS Office files to Open Office users
and there were always problems with Open Office not
being able to display or open something more advanced.
More of a pain than worth my time...

Both the PRICE and not working on linux would be an issue for me..
I COULD use it on my PC.. but something like open office that is free, and available on ANY platform
would be super.. Of course I haven't even tried to use open office for even a paper yet..
(Yes I have MSword and my own personal laptop that has MS office and could run Maker)

Well my problem with framemaker is that it is only supported on Windows
and Unix/Solaris.
More and more of our work machines are becoming Linux so it is harder to
find a Solaris machine to use (and windows is non-existent in my work
place).

Cheers...
