Connect module power supplies

Some months back there was some discussion about the issue of connect
modules and how to properly get them connected to (dynamic) power supplies.
At the time, someone was going to try to find out if Cadence was willing to
put their approach into the public standard.  Has any progress been made on
this topic?   This seems to a significant short-coming in the present
standard for AMS customers, and it seems it would be desirable to have one
true standard approach and not have to invent something new and different
from what is already out there.
