Welcome to the VUG BBS --------------------------- The messages system on the VUG BBS can be used for two purposes. First, it can be used to exchange private mail with other users. More importantly, it can be used to exchange messages with ALL users thus acting as a bulletin board or news group. Active discussion is encouraged on any topic, as long as the guidelines presented to you as a new user are maintained. When discussion on a topic becomes too much for the general group, a CONFERENCE will be set up. A conference is a BBS within the BBS -- having its own registered user base and message system. Currently, there are no active conferences. The VUG BBS also allows the uploading and downloading of arbitrary files. These can be text, binary, or whatever; and can be transferred with almost any protocol. See the Files subsystem for a listing of the current contents. Topics of active discussion are: VHDL IEEE Standard Language Reference Manual (LRM) Corrections VHDL Introductory and Training material VHDL Tool Validation Issues VHDL Model Validation Issues VHDL Commercial Component Model Development (EIA efforts) VHDL ASIC Model Development Analog VHDL VHDL in CALS and PDES VHDL Vendor Products VHDL Design Exchange Group VHDL Military Standards Are you currently registered with the VHDL Users' Group mailing list? If not, send a (C)omment to the system operator requesting you be added. Include your name, affiliation, address (with mailstop), city, state, zip, country (if not USA), and voice phone number. We will make sure to add you to our regular mail and member list. If you would like back copies of the newsletter, see the file system, specifically the directory VUG. They are all online there. ===================== (This file is download-able and named BULLET1)
