FPGA CONFIGURATION: Serial slave mode, PROM file:Shift LSB or MSB first?


Problem Description:
When downloading data from a prom file to any 2000, 3000, 4000, 5200
device configured in serial slave mode the proper order to serially
shift the bytes into the device is LSB first.


Solution 1:

Each byte of the prom file is bit swapped from the order in
the bit file, therefore each byte of the prom file must be
downloaded LSB first, and each byte of the bit file must be
downloaded MSB first.
