Powerview: values not displayed on schematic during simulation


Problem Description:
Simulation values are not being back-annotated and displayed on the schematic
during simulation.  One likely cause of this is copying a vsm file to a
different name using the UNIX cp command, then simulating from it.  In order
for the connection between a schematic and a simuation to occur, the vsm file
must have the same name as the schematic.  Often the vsm file produced by the
back-annotation process does not have the same name.


Solution 1:

There is a command in ViewSim that changes the name of the schematic that the
annotation should be sent to.  Use this command to annotate values to your
top level design:

SCHEMNAM <design>

where <design> is the name of your top-level schematic.
