Solution 1:




After installing the XACT 5 release, users may get an error similar to
the following after running a licensed program:

license for feature <feature> couldn't be checked out because invalid
data was returned from license server


This may be due to the old, pre-XACT 5 license manager running on the
machine.  Kill the old license manager and deamon, and start the XACT
5 license manager program.  While it is capable of reading the same
license file, the new license manager program operates slightly
differently that the one in the previous release.
