Workstation licensing: possible cause of 'cannot open DAEMON LOCK FILE'


Problem Description:



Solution 1:




The licensing software for the workstation may issue an
error stating that it "cannot open DAEMON LOCK FILE".

This may occur if you are running on a nodeless server.
You cannot run on a nodeless server must have a local disk
partition and be able to create a /usr/temp/lockXXACT file.
