Solution 1:




Xilinx has found that there are some parallel ports that have been manufactured
with out the IBM specified pullup resistors on the port io pins.  This will
cause the XILINX PROGRAMABLE KEY to not get any power and thus fail to function.

One example of this is demonstrated when XKEY fails and states that the key
could not be found on any parallel port.

The parallel port pullup problem may also take the form of the keys
not being recognized when both a Viewlogic AA key and Xilinx
programmable key are connected to the same port.
