SDT2XNF Error 16 issued, but no filename given


Problem Description:

When SDT2XNF is run on the following error message may be returned:

   *** DS35-SDT-ERROR-016:
   *** Failed to open the file '.inf' for reading.



Solution 1:

Note that the name of the file is missing, and just the extension
".inf" is given.

The likely cause of this is that a sheet symbol has been given a
name that is longer than eight characters.  As the filename limit
in DOS is eight characters, this causes SDT2XNF to be unable to
locate the file, and also corrupts the error reproting. If this
occurs, check your schematic for sheet names longer than eight
character and shorten them.
