ABL2XNF 5.0:AHDL2X gives Error 0250 [XLM:AUTHORIZATION_FAILURE]


Problem Description:



Solution 1:




Starting with XACT 5.0, the workstation license codes found in the file
$XACT/license/license.dat are platform independent (e.g. "APR", "PPR") while
before they were platform specific (e.g. "APR-SUN4", "PPR-HPPA").  However,
AHDL2X does not read the platform-independent license (the feature name for
which is "XABEL") and gives an error similar to the following even though
XABEL is licensed:

   Fatal Error 0250:
   *** Error [XLM:AUTHORIZATION_FAILURE]
   Authorization for XABEL-SUN4 failed:
   no such feature exists

Since the new license daemon still understands the older platform-specific
codes, the workaround is to use those codes for XABEL.	Users who don't have
such codes can contact Customer Service.
