XABEL 5.0, SYMGEN 5.0: pins are absent from symbol with istype 'reg, invert'
Record #371
Problem Title:
XABEL 5.0, SYMGEN 5.0: pins are absent from symbol with istype
'reg,invert'
Problem Description:
Solution 1:
In XABEL 5.0, if a signal is declared as a pin with istype 'reg, buffer' or
'reg, invert', the XABEL-generated XSF file will not have a pin listed for that
signal. This means that SymGen will generate a symbol that is missing that
pin.
There are two workarounds:
1. Change the istype to 'reg'. Modify the equation for the signal to have
inversion explicitly if the istype was 'reg, invert'. (reg_buffer is the
same as reg)
2. Add the pin manually to the symbol. The underlying netlist is still
valid; the signal in question just needs to be brought out.
This will be fixed in versions of XABEL beyond 5.00.
