Problem Title:
XSIMMAKE/XDRAW 5.2: XSIMMAKE seemingly halts exectution during XDRAW
Problem Description:
On some designs, XSIMMAKE may seem to halt execution during the XDRAW
program. In certain cases, XDRAW will halt because of a problem and
ask the user if he wants to continue. Unfortunately, because XDRAW is
being run under XSIMMAKE, the question is never outputted to the screen
so that the user knows to answer it. Thus, XSIMMAKE appears to hang.
You can verify that this is the problem by running the XDRAW program
by itself, using the same command line that was used by XSIMMAKE.
Solution 1:
One possible reason why XDRAW would halt would be if the viewdraw.ini
file has been modified in some way after the schematic has been
created. This may cause XDRAW not to find all of the schematic components.
Another possibility would be if the schematic components have been
moved to other directories since the schematic was created.
In general, it is not a good idea to modify viewdraw.ini or move files
associated with a design after the design is complete and before running
XSIMMAKE, as this may cause some of the programs run by XSIMMAKE to
become confused.
