SDT2XNF: DS35-SDT-ERROR-032: Failed to add pin <pinname> of type 'U'


Problem Description:
An error message such as the following could be generated by SDT2xnf (INF2xnf)


       Reading the root INF file 'dxifw1.inf' .....
       *** ---------------------------------------------------
       *** DS35-SDT-ERROR-032:
       *** Failed to add pin '<pinname>' of type 'U' on signal '<Signame>' to
       *** the symbol '<symbol>'.
       *** ---------------------------------------------------
       *** Execution cannot continue until this error is fixed
       *** inf2xnf was terminated with a Fatal Error status



Solution 1:

This is caused by a net traversing hierarchy with unspecified
directionality in the OrCAD schematics.  This is not allowed
for non Vcc or GND pins by SDT2XNF.  This is true even for
XBLOX busses.

Change the directionality to bidirectional,  input, or output
on the sheet symbol as well as on the module port in the lower
level of hierarchy.
