XC5200: How to shut off the internal oscillator


Solution 1:


To turn off the XC5200 internal oscillator, set the makebit tag OscClk:UserClk
(default is OscClk:Cclk). Doing this may produce a DRC error since XACT expects
a net connected to the osc.CK pin in the top right corner of the XDE editor.

You may either ignore the DRC error, or if you want a clean DRC free design,
you may connect a grounded net to the osc.CK pin.
