Problem Description:
Openbook may fail to start up and issue the following warnings:

"Warning - standard variable definitions not initialized in docvars.sh
Unrecognized keyword (mainmenu)
invokeviewer : Error - could not read file /titlesTOC.doc
 Check path associated with variable "titles" in docvars.sh file(s)"








Solution 1:

The error messages indicate something is wrong in your environment.  An easy way

to debug the problem is to run openbook with the -test option. In this mode Open
book
will do various checks and report any problems it finds with the environment.

The problem may be your path variable. Check your path in your Cadence setup fil
e.
If you get errors about the path being truncated because it was too long when yo
u
source this file,  the path to executables needed by Frame in (OpenWindows, X-Wi
ndows)
may have been cut off.
