Design Manager 6.0.1: Guide Data Specified in two Dialogs

Record #733

Product Family: Software

Product Line: FPGA Core

Problem Title:
Design Manager 6.0.1: Guide Data Specified in two Dialogs

Problem Description:
There are two places in the Design Manager in which you can specify
guide data. The first is the Design Implementation Options dialog,
accessible from both the Design Manager and the Flow Engine. In
this dialog, you can select from various revisions in the project to
use as guide data. The second location you can specify guide data is
the Flow Configuration dialog, accessible through the Advanced command
under the Setup menu in the Flow Engine. This dialog allows you to
select specific MAP or LCA files to use as guide data.

If you specify guide data in BOTH of these locations, it is not obvious
as to which one will be used. The status bar in the Flow Engine and the
Command Preview in the Normal View Mode will indicate that the Guide
Revision selected in the Design Implementation Options dialog will be used.
However, the Command Preview in the Command Line View Mode will show
that the Guide File selected in the Flow Configuration dialog will be
used.

Solution 1:

Do not specify conflicting guide data simultaneously in both dialogs.
