Solution 1:

XNF2CDS is actually complaining about the syntax of the pin numbers for the plas
tic package.

Historically, LCA2XNF (up to version 5.1) was not consistent in its naming of th
e
pins on the various plastic packages. In some cases it would write the pin name
s
with a "P" prefix in front of the pin number, and in other cases it would not.
This
caused problems with the XNF2CDS routine, which generates a Concept symbol
for a routed LCA. A v5.1.2 LCA2XNF patch was provided to Cadence which does
not add a "P" prefix to the pin numbers. (Note that all versions of XNF2CDS
starting with 5.0 require that plastic package pin numbers omit the "P" prefix.)

The solution is to install LCA2XNF v5.1.2. This was included as part of the Xil
inx
Core Tools on the 9502 CD and is available on both Sun and HP platforms.

This is not a problem with XNF2VERILOG, which does not generate a Concept
symbol for the LCA.
