POWER.EXE may slow down PPR
Problem Description:
power.exe is a device that can be loaded in the config.sys that is used to reduc
e power consumption when applications are idle. It is possible that this device
may not recognize PPR as being active (when PPR is run in DOS) and power down r
esources, leaving PPR in a wait state until it sees user activity.
power.exe was really intended for portables and not needed for desktop computers
.
Solution 1:
Remove power.exe from the config.sys.
