XC7000/XC9500: Using the LOC attribute for Function block and macrocell assignment

Record #788

Product Family:  Hardware

Product Line:  7300

Problem Title:
XC7000/XC9500: Using the LOC attribute for Function block and macrocell
assignment

Problem Description:
With the XEPLD v6.0 tools, some components can be mapped to a specific
 function block and macrocell using the following schematic attribute syntax:

LOC=FB<n>_<m>

where <n> is the function block number and <m> is the macrocell
number.

Example: To place a flip-flop into macrocell 5 of Function Block 3, attach
the following attribute to the FF:
LOC=FB3_5

**NOTE** The LOC attribute is not valid on all library components. The
following is the list of symbols that can accept this form of the LOC attribute:

AND*	  NAND*
OR*	  NOR*
XOR2	  XNOR2
XOR3	  XNOR3
XOR4	  XNOR4
INV	  BUF
BUFT	  FDCP
FBMC	  FFBMC
