VSMUPD: vsec: Error 8037: License node restriction does not match
client's node for product ViewBASE



Problem Description:
With XACTstep and Workview Office, while running the VSMUPD command from DOS,
one or both of the following error messages may occur:

vsec: Error 8037: License node restriction does not match client's node for
      product ViewBASE.

+vsec: Error 8031: Flex/LM Error: Invalid host; could not find key.


Solution 1:

Make sure that the Viewlogic Interface has been installed to the Workview
Office directory, not the default ProSeries directory.	This is done during
the XACTstep 6.0.x installation.  If Workview Office has been installed to
C:\WVOFFICE, you will change the default C:\PROSER to C:\WVOFFICE.

The environment variables should look like this:

SET PATH=C:\WVOFFICE;C:\XACT;<rest_of_path>
SET XACT=C:\WVOFFICE;C:\XACT
SET WDIR=C:\WVOFFICE\STANDARD

There should be no references to C:\PROSER.



Solution 2:

If solution 1 isn't enough to solve the problem, use `-o` option with VSMUPD.
