Line 1 : Product Name Code : 8 Characters, the 5 or 6 (1765D)
characters shall designate the Product name without the
'XC'. The product name is followed by the single
character Prom package designator. The last letter is
temperature range (eg: M, I, C).
Line 2 : 6 numerics character preceded by the 'X' in the Xilinx
Logo. The first numeric character after the 'X' shall
designate the last digit of the year in which the
product was assembled, the next 2 numeric character
shall serve as the work-week identifier. The 3 last
characters are the last 3 digits of the Ingres Assembly
number for the lot.
Line 3: Is usually left blank for cusotmer PROM designator
marking.

Line 1 : Device name with trade mark and trade mark registered status.
Line2 : Package type and pin count (PC84), circuit design
revision (B), the location code for the wafer fab (S), the
geometry code (G), date code (9610).
Line 3 : 7 alpha numeric characters : Assembly and Mark number.
Line 4 : Device speed (5), temperature range (C). If a grade is not marked on t
he package the product will be considered a
commercial grade.
Solution 3:
Serial PROMs manufactured at Nippon-Denso, has following markings:
Line 1: Date code in the format YYWW where YY is the last two
digits of the calendar year and WW is the work week of
that year. Assembly sublot within the same week may be
differentiated by the alpha character following the
date code sequentially starting with A for the first
sublot of the week. Date codes without the alphabet
designator imply that there was only one lot that week.
Line 2: The second line shall consist of the product name (XC
excluded) with or without a Temperature Range Code
appended. Commercial products may be marked with or
without the "C" temp range.
Line 3: The last line will have shadowed "X" for Xilinx logo
followed by "JAPAN" for country of origin.
