XLMCON shows two parenthesis for the HostID for the HP


Problem Description:
The HostID is not given on the HP workstation when "XLMCON -HOSTID" is run.

Only two parenthesis are shown for the HostID.


Solution 1:

Another way to find the hostid for licensing is to run "/etc/lanscan".	This see
med to work.

In order to fix the problem with XLMCON, you need to change the protection setti
ng in "/dev/lan0" to world read write.
