CADENCE OPENBOOK: Can't type in Search window on system running
Openwindows
Problem Description:
Keywords: openbook type search openwindows
Urgency: standard
General Description:
When doing a search on topics in the Cadence Openbook online
documentation, a bug in Openwindows may prevent you from typing
in a search string in the search field.
Solution 1:
In most cases this problem can be corrected by installing
Openwindows patch #10444-75. To check on what patches have
been installed to your system, type "showrev -p".
You may also need to change your Openwindows default setting
for specifying the active input area.
To do this, click the third mouse button on the Openwindows
background (any unoccupied area of your screen) and select
Properties. A popup will appear.
Click your third mouse button on the arrow next to the
Category field in the popup window and select "Miscellaneous".
For "Set Input Area", click on "Move Pointer" to make a window
active immediately when you move the pointer (cursor)into it.
