XACT-CPLD : An unrecognized Symbol Type 'NOR7' was found in netlist

Record #1180

Problem Title:
XACT-CPLD : An unrecognized Symbol Type 'NOR7' was found in netlist

Problem Description:
When implementing a design in XACT-CPLD ver 6.0.x, you may encounter the followi
ng warning :

xr55:[Warning]An unrecognized Symbol Type 'NOR7' was found in the netlist. If
this symbol is a behavioral module, make sure each instance has FILE=filename
and DEF=PLD attributes in your schematic. If the symbol is a user macro,
check that a schematic exists for it and that an XNF file was generated. If
the symbol is a Xilinx library component, make sure the target EPLD family
supports it. If you are using a synthesis tool, recompile the logic
targetting an EPLD family.

The XACT-CPLD software expects to see "NOR, SCHNM=NOR7" but instead sees "NOR7,
SCHNM=NOR7" in the .xff file. This will be fixed in the M1 software release.

Solution 1:

Manually edit the .xnf file changing the coresponding SYM lines from : "NOR7, SC
HNM=NOR7" to "NOR, SCHNM=NOR7".
