Problem Title:
PCI macro: PROseries is not supported in the PCI design.


Problem Description:
Due to major issues with using PROseries software and Viewlogic's
decision to support only Workview Office, PROseries design entry,
including PROflow is not supported.


The Current V1.1 PCI Viewlogic simulation Model doesn't work with
PROseries. This is due to the difference in modeling of the pullup
in PROseries and Workview Office/Powerview. In WVO/Powerview the
Xilinx library element pullup is modeled in such a way that it
actually drives the floating load it's connected to. In PROseries,
the modeling is done differently and the pullup doesn't "pullup" a
floating load on an input. This causes a "Z" state that, when applied
to the flip flop inputs, causes the output of the ff to go unknown on
the next clock cycle. The simulation degrades from there on. The
WVO/Powerview simulation never sees this "Z" state and thus the
simulation works correctly.


Solution 1:

The only known workaround is to use Workview Office or Powerview.
PCI customers can upgrade to Workview Office by sending an
e-mail to hotline@xilinx.com requesting this. This is available to
in-warrantee customers who have a DS-VLS-STD or DS-VLS-EXT
system.
