Problem Title:
Foundation: Can you put LOCs on IPAD4/8/16 or OPAD4/8/16?
Problem Description:
You cannot put LOC attributes on the bussed I/O pads that are
contained in the Xilinx libraries (IPAD4/8/16, OPAD4/8/16,
and IOPAD4/8/16).
Solution 1:
The workaround is to copy the Xilinx library component to a
user library so you can edit the schematic underneath, adding
the LOC attributes.
You may need to make multiple copies of the component. For
example, if you want to place 2 IPAD4 components, each one
having a different set of LOC attributes, you would make 2
copies of the IPAD4 and put different LOCs inside each one.
Refer to (Xilinx Solution 1657) for instructions on copying
a Xilinx library component.
After copying a component, edit the schematic under the
symbol to add the LOC attributes:
1) Open the Schematic Editor.
2) Select File -> Open and select the copied macro from the
list of macros.
3) Add the LOC attribute to the individual pad symbols.
