Problem Title:
FPGA Express: Does FPGA Express have any 'scripting' capability?
Problem Description:
Some users of FPGA Express may be Synopsys FPGA/Design compiler users.
Workstation Synopsys users are used to running all commands they need in a
script. This is handy because users can let the workstation work while the
user does other things.
Solution 1:
FPGA Express has no scripting capability.
'Scripting' is something under consideration for a future release. However,
before creating an implementation in FPGA Express, a user can select 'auto
optimize after linking' in the 'Create Implementation' window, which is
displayed when the 'Create Implementation' button is selected.
'Auto optimize after linking' compiles a design in FPGA Express and links all
hierarchial modules. The only step the user has to do after this is 'export'
the XNF file.
Note 'auto optimize after linking' assumes default values for synthesis. So,
if the user has options s/he wants to specify, then the user must
'implement', and then 'optimize' manually.
