FUNCNET 9404: May create bad bidirectional pins

Record #1533

Product Family: Software

Product Line: Cadence

Problem Title:
FUNCNET 9404: May create bad bidirectional pins

Problem Description:
Keywords: funcnet bidirectional

Urgency: standard

General Description:
When running FUNCNET on your design to create a verilog model
the program completes, but may create bad bidirectional pins.

The bi-directional pins have two module ports (pins), and both
ports are declared as outputs.

Solution 1:

Check the Cadence FUNCNET script to see whether the XCDSPREP
program is invoked with the -ADDIO option set to ON. This
switch is used to insert IBUFs and OBUFs to external signals
if these are not already present. There is a bug with this
switch in which the I/O buffers are inserted indiscriminately.

To work around the problem, invoke FUNCNET with the -noio
option.
