ABEL//PLD to XNF Translator:  Pin not declared as output pin / No
Equation outputs



Problem Description:
When compiling an ABEL or PLD macro for an EPLD design with the
6.x EPLD tools, the PLD to XNF Translator may give one of the
following errors:

"Pin <pin_name> is not declared as output pin"

or...

"No equation outputs listed in the pinlist"

This is due to the order in which the pins are listed in the ABEL
or PLD file.  If the first pin listed is an output pin, this error
will be generated.


Solution 1:

Make sure that the first pin listed is an input pin.
