Problem Title:
Design Manager 6.0.1: Translate--> XMAKE: ERROR: Failed to find part
type <part> in 'partlist.xct'.



Problem Description:
During translate of a Xilinx design, the following error message may
be encountered :

XMAKE: ERROR: Failed to find part type <parttype> in 'partlist.xct'.

where <parttype> is your choosen part.


Solution 1:

A possible cause of this problem is when the XACTStep software
setup is mixed with the XACT9000 software.  Both packages of
software can be installed on the same machine but only one
or the other should be referenced in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file
at one time.

To verify if this is the cause of this error, open your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file with a text editor.  Look in the PATH
statement to be sure only the XACT software you are using
(XACT9000 for 9500 and XACTStep for all other devices)
is being refernced in the path.

Next look at the SET XACT variable and be sure it is only
referencing the software you are currently using as well.

After making any modifications to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file,
save the changes and reboot the machine.
