Problem Description:
While doing a translate within Design Manager, you may get the following
message:

The file 'N:\XACT6
is on the unfamiliarly named filesystem: 'NWCOMPA'.
Please inform ParcPlace Systems about this file system.
If you do not consider FATFilename to be the correct choice, edit
the expression below to refer to HPFSFilename or NTFSFilename
as appropiate, and evaluate it. You may then close this window
PCFilename fileSystems at: 'NWCOMPA' put: FATFilename

This error message has been observed only in Windows 95. It also
happens only when the project files are on a network OR the FAT32
option was used when Windows 95b was installed.


Solution 1:

XACTStep 6.0.1 was not developed for Windows 95, so using
Windows 3.1/3.11 is the best option. However, it should be
noted that this error message is *usually* benign; simply
click OK and proceed.

If that fails, you might try to make sure the case of all
letters in the path is lower case (no upper case path or
filenames). This does not always work, though.
You may need to copy your design files to a local directory,
or use Windows 3.1 or 3.11.
