XACT Timing Analyzer: Cannot open file C:\\con<num>.<num> (Win95 only)
Record #1699
Product Family: Software
Product Line: FPGA Core
Problem Title:
XACT Timing Analyzer: Cannot open file C:\\con<num>.<num> (Win95 only)
Problem Description:
When running Timing Analyzer (TA) in Win95, the following messages are reported:
"Cannot open file C:\\con960.960" <OK>
"Unable to initialize console.
Close other applications and restart Timing Analyser." <OK>
These messages will pop up with various numbers in the filename con<num>.<num>.
CAUSE:
TA is looking for a temporary file in the C:\\ directory. It looks in
C:\\ because TEMP=C:\ in the AUTOEXEC.BAT. TA will work properly in
Win3.11 even when TEMP=C:\, but Win95 is more particular.
Solution 1:
Create a temporary directory and set the temp variable in the
AUTOEXEC.BAT to point to that directory.
TEMP=C:\TEMP
