Problem Title:
Design Manager 6.0.1: Translate issues "cannot copy translated netlist"
Problem Description:
Key Words: translate, netlist, copy
Urgency: Standard
General Description:
In the Design Manager when trying to do a translate,
the design manager issues an error "cannot copy translated
netlist... "
Solution 1:
There are a variety of reasons why this error might occur:
1) Check the translate.log file to see if any error messages
where issued. (parttype not specified, parttype not in the
partlist.xct are just some of the errors that have caused
the error above, and was only reported in the .log file)
2) Check to see if there is enough disk space on the Harddrive.
3) Check to see if design is in a deep directory structure.
(i.e. c:\active\projects\xilinx\robot\fpga\home\DESIGN )
This sometimes causes problems, try to move the DESIGN
directory to a less impedded place.
4)Try to run a tutorial or example design, if this passes
the problem might be with corrupted design files.
Solution 2:
If the translate.log file indicates:
t162013:[Error] The netlist 'xnf\design.xnf' is missing or
can not be read.
It may be that the partype was not explicitly defined in the
translate options dialog box. Doing so fixes the problem
and a design.xff file will be created
