Urgency:

Many Xilinx device families are supersets of another Xilinx
family, and can often use the bitstream of the subset family
to configure.  Though in most cases the subset family cannot use the bitstream o
f the superset family.

Also bitstream compatability does not imply that the design
will work in the superset device.  Xilinx recommends rerunningtiming simulations
 for the superset device to gurantee
functionality.




Solution 1:

The XC3000A is a superset of the XC3000 family.  Therefore
any bitstream used to configure a XC3000, XC3100, XC3000L,
XC3100L or XC3100A device configures a XC3000A device the same way.

The XC3000L is also a  superset of the XC3000 family.
Therefore any bitstream used to configure a XC3000, XC3100, XC3100L, XC3000A, or
 XC3100A device configures a XC3000L device
the same way.
