CONCEPT HDL DIRECT: *ERROR* - CLA internal error - Invalid Parameter
Record #1992
Product Family: Software
Product Line: Cadence
Problem Title:
CONCEPT HDL DIRECT: *ERROR* - CLA internal error - Invalid Parameter
Problem Description:
Writing NEW schematics after setting hdl_direct to ON
gives weird errors in the HDL Direct popup window of the
form,
"*ERROR* - CLA internal error - Invalid Parameter - claNextFile()
*ERROR* - CLA internal error - Invalid Parameter - claIteratEnd()
Error iterating cadence/new_design_name/logic:No such view
Error iterating cadence/new_design_name/logic:Invalid Parameter Error
releasing view file iterator: Invalid Parameter
Solution 1:
This happens only when writing new schematics with HDL Direct
enabled in Concept version 3.0-p2 from the 9604 Cadence CD.
The errors do not appear during subsequent saves and can
be safely ignored.
The problem is fixed in an HDL Direct patch on the Cadence
FTP site:
There is a hotfix available from the Cadence FTP
server to correct this problem. The first patch to fix this
problem was called conceptHdldr03.01-s001 and was located in:
